The Future of Shopping: Case Study #2 - Lessons from China for the U.S. Market: Lululemon

  • Key Takeaway: This was a case study project for my class: Future of Shopping: Retail Innovation for Customer Empowerment. Three other partners and I researched the background of Lululemon, an American Athletic apparel company.

  • Objective: Students will identify how technology can help retailers in their business activities; students will use generated data for decision-making, Students will research information using technology relevant to merchandising and fashion, and students will create professional literature and presentations. Students will understand the role of technology in management decision-making, focusing on accounting procedures and personnel management.

  • Scope: Students will work in teams of four to research and present two case studies that demonstrate a thorough understanding of retail innovation in China.

  • Additional Notes: This was a group project; my responsibilities included arranging the slide deck, the title slide, the table of contents, U.S. brand positioning, and the social media strategy.
