Case Study #1 Retail Roadmap for China: Ralph Lauren

  • Key Takeaway: This was a case study project for my class: Future of Shopping: Retail Innovation for Customer Empowerment. Three other partners and I researched the background of Ralph Lauren, an American, Preppy, and classic apparel company.

  • Objective: Students will identify how technology can help retailers’ business activities. Students will use generated data for decision-making, research information using technology relevant to merchandising and fashion, and create professional literature and presentations.

  • Scope: Students will work in teams of four to research and present two case studies that demonstrate a thorough understanding of retail innovation in China. The broad topic will be further understood through course lecture materials and readings.

  • Additional Notes: This was a group project; my responsibilities included arranging the slide deck and analyzing the brand's existing strategy and the risks involved.
