Project Off Runway - Finesse Studios USA
Key Takeaway: This was an assignment for my Future of Shopping Class. We, as students, were asked to create a digitally activated runway show for a chosen brand. I selected an upcoming brand named Finesse Studios USA, an AI-led fashion house that values sustainability and size inclusivity.
Objective: Students will identify the ways that technology can help retailers in their business activities; students will use generated data for decision making; students will research the Internet concerning technology usage and dominance in the fashion retail workplace; students will analyze e-commerce, catalog, and home shopping applications for fashion retail, Students will understand the role of technology in management decision-making, focusing on accounting procedures and personnel management. Students will create professional literature and presentations and use and apply retailing technology tools for decision-making and customer service.
Scope: Each student will conceive, develop and pitch an innovative digital activation to replace a physical runway show for a selected brand. Proposals must demonstrate how the activation will reach the target audience and deliver greater brand engagement and better ROI than a traditional show. Proposals will be judged on the originality of the concept, strength of presentation, depth of research, and underlying use of data.
