Contemporary Issues in Fashion: Case Study 2: Uniqlo
Key Takeaway: This was a case study project for my class on contemporary issues in Fashion Merchandising. One other partner and I researched manufacturing and human rights practices and background for UNIQLO, a Japanese unisex apparel company.
Objective: To identify unethical practices in manufacturing and sourcing fashion products, devise ways to improve industry practices that will benefit all stakeholders, demonstrate expertise in identifying sources of information and develop critical thinking skills.
Scope: Students will work in teams of 2 to research, analyze and present how a specific fashion brand addresses manufacturing and human rights and how the brand could improve in this area.
Additional Notes: This was a group project; my responsibilities included the title slide, table of contents, business & mission, and accountability and progress.
